Japan Attraction Closing-Time & Last-Entry Checker. Compare your arrival with closing time, the entry cutoff and the time you want to spend inside.

100 curated attractions · 71 with reviewed regular hours · 29 calendar / ticket checks · 0 awaiting hours verification

All dates and times are Japan Standard Time (JST). Regular hours help you plan; official date calendars and reserved ticket times decide admission.

100 of 100 attractions

Use the time you reach the entrance, including travel and walking. Visit lengths are editable estimates; queues can exceed your buffer.

100 places · One practical check

Closing time is only half the story.

Choose a place, date and arrival time. We’ll check the entry deadline and whether your planned visit fits.

No ticket availability or live closure feed is included.

Browse all 100 attractions

A curated selection of well-known attractions, not a measured popularity ranking. Listings name the area covered: a hall, museum or observatory may close earlier than its surrounding grounds.

How the checker works

Reviewed operator or public-authority hours are stored as regular schedules. Seasonal schedules and known annual closures are applied where reviewed. Weekly closing days trigger a calendar check because holiday openings and replacement closures can differ.

A result never guarantees entry. Last admission is only shown when supported by the source. Unverified or calendar-dependent listings send you to the official schedule. Source reviews older than 60 days stop producing timing estimates.

Suggested visit lengths and the arrival buffer are planning estimates you can change. Evening events, individual exhibitions, ride departures, separate buildings and ticket slots can have different hours.

Sources include operators, shrine-managed profiles, pilgrimage associations and an attributed cultural project. Indexed statements are identified in results. Follow-up review: October 14, 2026 — all 28 previously incomplete listings rechecked.

Sources, etiquette and limitations

Worship before requesting a goshuin. Bring a proper goshuin notebook or ask whether a paper seal is offered. Do not expect every counter to provide direct writing, every design, or service outside reception hours.

Regular schedules are planning information, not live opening or queue data. Ceremonies, festivals, weather and staff availability can override them. January 1–3 requires a special-schedule check. Sources or visit dates more than 60 days beyond the review stop producing regular timing estimates. Partial office or admission hours never substitute for a verified goshuin window.

The timing check requires JavaScript. The directory and official links remain available below.
